Overview
MizLinx Monitor is an ocean IoT observation system that collects marine environmental information and underwater video and images and manages them in the cloud. Sensors collect water temperature, dissolved oxygen, salinity, and other data that can be viewed in real time on smartphones and PCs.
Technology strengths
High-resolution underwater cameras and diverse sensors provide a multidimensional view of the ocean. Hardware, software, and the data platform are developed in-house, enabling flexible customization. The system has also operated for more than one year in harsh marine environments.
Deployment examples
Partner
Goto City, Nagasaki Prefecture
Use case
The system remotely visualized and managed seaweed growth, long-spined sea urchin distribution, and the condition of fixed nets, supporting more efficient and sustainable fisheries.
Additional examples
Other examples include investigating mass mortality of farmed horse mackerel in Numazu, validating smart oyster aquaculture in Higashikagawa, and monitoring the causes of declining sea urchins around Iwaki.
